The centre is paper pieced combined with the flip and sew method, and the second mariner's compass is used for the four corners at the top of the quilt. Vines and hand sewn dimensional flowers are appliquéd around the edges to enhance the beauty of the compass. The tulips are paper pieced, and the braided border completes it.
