Pembroke Log Cabin Quilters Marie Luise von Taube     The Pembroke Log Cabin Quilters helped CFB Petawawa celebrate their 100th Anniversary with their show "Marching with Quilts thru Time", held on the weekend of May 28th and 29th, 2005 The OQC Rosette was presented to Marie Luise von Taube. Marie Luise's piece, called Cottage Country from Piecemaker Calendar won Viewer's Choice in the Small Quilt Category. Marie Luise fell in love with silk ribbon embroidery and enjoyed making this quilt. She started quilting 14 years ago after she moved to Canada from Germany. While living in Germany, she did embroidery, painting on silk and other crafts.
