The 2006 Common Thread Quilt Guild Quilt Show was held in Ottawa during the last weekend of May, and its OQC Rosette was awarded to Victoria VanderLinden for her work titled "The 30's Quilt". This lovely bed quilt measuring 82 x 92 inches won for Best Bed Quilt, and it was machine sewn, hand appliquéd and long arm machine quilted.
Victoria made these comments about her creation: The long arm machine quilting was done by Jane Mitchell of Legacy Quilts in Ottawa. I made the quilt from a design by Sharon Schambert that was offered in Quilter's Newsletter Magazine. Thanks to Sharon Schambert for permission to publish this photo of my quilt.
