The Waterloo County Quilters' Guild held their show titled "Celebration" from the 30th September to the 2nd October 2005 and presented the OQC Rosette to Mary Snyder. Mary's piece, "Tea for Two", was a small wall hanging - hand appliquéd and hand quilted and embellished with jewelry and odds & ends. It was the Viewer's Choice winner for the guild's "Celebration" challenge.
Mary and her friend are depicted in the quilt enjoying an afternoon cup of tea complete with hats and gloves. Both are cancer survivors, both are 65 and both are celebrating life. The theme of our challenge was "Celebration". (What a fabulous reason to celebrate - ed.)
